Also in Germany, the shelves of many supermarkets are empty.

Pasta, rice, cheese, bread and flour are products most desired by “tedeschi”, as the Italians call the Germans.

But if it depends on Italy, Germany will not be left without spaghetti due to the coronavirus emergency.

Second publication of newspaper Il Messaggero, this Thursday (2), the Schenker, the logistics department of the German railways Deutsche Bahn, has already taken more than two hundred tons of pasta.

A Aldi supermarket chain is responsible for sending trains loaded with pasta to stock up during the pandemic. “Several special trains have already brought more than 60.000 packets of fusilli, more than 75.000 packets of penne and 250.000 packages of spaghetti, from Italy to Nuremberg, in its first delivery”, says a statement released today by Aldi.

Demand for pasta increased during this period in Germany and the supermarket chain explains that there are difficulties in satisfying it and importing it.
