Latin American revolutionary leader Che Guevara (1928-1967) will be honored with an exhibition in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, which promises to highlight the main events of his life linked to the history of the continent.
The exhibition “Che Guevara, you and everyone”, on display at the Civil Archaeological Museum of Bologna from March 27 to June 30, will bring together more than 2 previously unpublished materials from the photographic and documentary repertoire of the Che Guevara Study Center, in Havana, the capital of Cuba.
The aim is to offer the public the opportunity to explore crucial moments in the life of the Latin leader, his humanity, his ideals and emotional bonds, as well as the historical and geopolitical events of the 1950s and 1960s.
The exhibition’s Spanish title, “Tú y Todos,” is taken from a line in a poem Che Guevara wrote to his wife, Aleida March, in Bolivia, where he died. March, 88, helped bring the event to Italy.
Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, known as “Che Guevara,” was born in Argentina but became a key figure in the Cuban Revolution that overthrew dictator Fulgencio Batista. After leaving Havana, he was captured and executed in Bolivia. (HANDLE)
