The businesswoman and digital influencer Chiara Ferragni and the rapper Fedez reached an agreement divorce, putting an end to one of the most loved and talked about couples in Italy in recent years.
According to behind-the-scenes information, the document will be filed “soon” for approval at the Milan Court, which will pronounce the divorce after six months.
Initially, it was reported that the couple's children, Leone and Vittoria, would stay with their mother and father for equal periods, during which each parent would be responsible for the children's expenses. However, Ferragni's lawyer, Daniela Missaglia, said that the influencer will have priority in shared custody.
“We specify that the agreement does not provide for an equal division of the children, who will be placed predominantly with the mother,” says a note signed by the lawyer. Fedez, as he himself requested, will also be entirely responsible for the children’s school expenses, medical expenses and sports activities.
The agreement does not establish a pension for either side, and the assets and corporate interests of Ferragni and Fedez were already divided, so they were not included in the negotiation.
“The agreement, which is currently being signed and deposited, does not provide for a financial contribution [pension] for the maintenance of the children, a legitimate measure that Mrs. Chiara Ferragni renounced, prioritizing, in a conciliatory spirit and common sense, the rapid reaching of an agreement, also in the best and priority interests of the minors,” adds Missaglia.
The two had been together since 2016 and married since 2018, but separated earlier this year amid investigations into alleged fraud committed by Ferragni in the promotion of pandoros (an Italian Christmas sweet) and Easter eggs for charity.
The scandal has shaken the empire of Italy's most followed influencer, who has lost advertising contracts and closed deals to donate 2,2 million euros (R$13,6 million), the amount she allegedly made from fake charity actions, to charities.
Ferragni is still the target of an investigation by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office and is expected to be charged with aggravated fraud. She and Fedez, however, have never spoken openly about the reasons for their separation. (HANDLE)
