Italian city creates law where it is "forbidden to get sick"

In an Italian city it is forbidden to get sick: the mayor Carlotta Oppizzi signed a very strange ordinance, especially during a pandemic.

But the law is nothing more than a protest. The provocative order signed by the mayor of Ferriere, a small town in the province of Piacenza, at northern Italy is because the ASL (local health administration unit) decided merge the ongoing assistance service of Ferriere with that of the neighboring city tavern.

Carlotta Oppizzi, mayor of Ferriere: it is “forbidden to get sick”

“In order to put into practice all precautions to avoid the need for a medical consultation on the eve of public holidays and public holidays and from 20 pm to 8 am on weekdays, all citizens are invited to respect this ordinance”, says the order published on December 28 last year.

Em Ferriere, pending the reestablishment of the health service, all citizens are invited to “take every precaution to avoid needing a doctor".
