An earthquake of magnitude 4,7 struck... Campi Flegrei regionnear Naples, on Friday evening (31). The tremor left 21 people injured, two of them in serious condition requiring urgent hospital care. The tremor also caused the collapse of several unoccupied buildings and triggered landslides in the area.
The Campi Flegrei region, located west of Naples, sits on the largest active volcanic crater in EuropeAccording to the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the tremor occurred at a depth of three kilometers. The night following the earthquake saw a series of aftershocks of lesser intensity.
