In all seven countries that participated in the research – Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, India, the United Kingdom and the United States – family doctors and national health authorities were considered much more reliable sources of information when it comes to vaccines.
On average, professionals are considered trustworthy by 39%, and health authorities by 41%.
Resistance
The survey also indicated that men, in general, show less resistance to vaccines, with 74% saying they would definitely or probably seek vaccination.
Among women, 69% give the same answer. Furthermore, resistance to the vaccine is greater among younger people.
More than half of French people aged 25 to 34, and a third of Dutch people in the same age group, say they would definitely or probably not get vaccinated.
On average across the seven countries surveyed, only 32% of young people aged between 18 and 24 say they intend to receive applications.
Across all seven countries, health concerns are cited as the main factor in resistance: nearly half of respondents with low likelihood of seeking the vaccine say they are concerned about safety, while 29% want more information about immunization . (With international agencies)
