Test flight left New York bound for Rome Airport
O first “Covid free” flight The plane that departed from the US landed in Rome this Wednesday (9). The route included a test at boarding for all passengers, and a second rapid test inside Fiumicino airport.
Um safe means of transport and currently only permitted for work, health or residence reasons for those arriving from the United States.
An important initiative and strongly desired by the Rome Airport (ADR) to resume the route with the USA, interrupted due to the Coronavirus.
In fact, the one that has just landed in Fiumicino – which for the third consecutive year won the title of “Best Airport in Europe" - and the first covid-free flight.
A coveted agreement that was signed between ADR, Alitalia and Delta to create a clean corridor and, consequently, without any risk of contracting the virus.
All passengers who disembarked at Rome Airport flight da Alitalia traveled with protective glasses during the trip and were subjected to a quick and free test in a specifically created “safe” corridor at the airport.
An initiative particularly appreciated by passengers, but also a way to return to flying while protecting their health.
About an hour after applying the test, the results arrived – negative for all 100 passengers who left New York.
Now, Alitalia expects to implement the “Covid free” flight also to Brazil soon.
