For the first time since the start of the anti-Covid campaign in January, Italy surpassed the desired mark of half a million vaccines in one day.
The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, confirmed this Friday morning (30) in a Facebook post: “Yesterday in Italy more than 500.000 doses of the vaccine were administered. Thank you to the men and women of National Health Service and to all the institutions for the excellent teamwork. The vaccine is the real way out of these difficult months”, wrote the head of the department.
On Wednesday the country immunized 397 thousand people.
With the effort made in April, Italy has vaccinated more than a quarter of the population total with at least one dose (the exact number is 26,4%).
