10 years without Lucio Dalla: one of the greatest Italian singers

Born in Bologna, Lucio Dalla, with dozens of albums released, is the author of songs known worldwide as “Baby Jesus” (which Chico Buarque recorded as “Minha História”) or “Caruso”, a tribute to the opera legend Enrico Caruso, and which was performed several times by Pavarotti.

Caruso was also the soundtrack for the soap opera “Of Body and Soul” (Diogo’s theme), from Globo in 1993.

One of the greatest Italian singers of all time, Lucio Dalla began his music career in the 1960s.

In 1966 he released his first album with the band “The Flippers” and in 1979 he gained not only national but also international recognition with the album of the same name, which sold more than a million copies.
