the baiana Priscilla Novaes LeonePitty, 45 years old, better known as Pitty, is one of the most successful artists in Brazilian music. And she is also a descendant of Italians with a very common surname in the regions of Puglia and Sicilia.
Born in Salvador on October 7, 1977, Pitty is a singer, composer, producer, writer, businesswoman, presenter and multi-instrumentalist.
Daughter of a bar owner and a shoe store saleswoman, Mrs. Dina, she has a brother, Leonardo, ten years younger.

Already separated from her husband, her mother took her back to Salvador at the age of 16. Pitty already worked in various activities, as a receptionist in a tattoo studio, waitress and saleswoman in a clothing store.
Back in the capital of Bahia, Pitty formed her first band in 1997 – Shes - a punk rock group formed by women, in which she played drums. However, this first experience lasted only a year.

Pitty's first band
She then started working at a jingle studio and met the four Inkoma members, a band from Salvador that represented the hardcore scene of the time and I was looking for a vocalist.
Pitty joined the band, recorded with Inkoma Pure Stack demo and participated in the music video Soneto, from 1999. In 2001 the group came to an end.
At the same time, he met the musician Duda Machado, presented by the sister of one of the Inkoma members. Pitty and Duda had a relationship and They lived together between 2000 and 2004, when the union ended. He continued playing with her until 2018.

Pitty finds a producer
In 2001, after the end of Inkoma, Pitty began studying music at federal university of Bahia, where she made contact with producer Rafael Ramos, who invited her to record a demo.
The demo was approved and, in 2002, Pitty went to Rio de Janeiro to record the first studio album of his solo career. At the time, his band was made up only of musicians from Bahia: Joe on the bottom, Peu Sousa on guitar and Duda Machado on the battery.

Pitty reaches success
In 2003, he left Admirable New Clip, his first album, full of hard rock songs filled with socially critical lyrics. The first single, Mask, did a lot success, as well as other songs on the album, such as Glass Ceiling e equalize.
With the tour Brave New Tour, Pitty started to do about 20 shows per month and reached the end of 2003 with the best-selling rock album in Brazil. In the ninth edition of MTV Video Music Brazil, she competed as a new artist.
The music Temporary was part of the soap opera's soundtrack The color of sin and Máscara was included in the soundtrack of Senhora do Destino. The single Teto de Vidro was part of the series Workout.

Second album and live recording
In 2005, he released his second album, Anachronistic, which sold more than 180 thousand copies and was successful with the songs Déjà Vu, De Você, On your Shelf and Memories.
Two years later, Pitty released her first live album, {Des} Live Concert and in 2009 the third studio album hit stores, Chiaroscuro, with emphasis on the songs Love Me, Failure and Only Now.
In 2010, Pitty released her second live album, recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Delirious Troupe, nominated for best rock album at the Latin Grammys.

Partnerships and going solo again
In 2011, Pitty launched the project Agridoce, alongside her guitarist, Martin Mendonca, with musical fusions between rock and folk. The duo released the single Dançando, taken from the album of the same name.
After three years of dedication to bittersweet project, Pitty released the album in 2014 Seven Lives, which was accompanied by a single of the same name.
In 2017, Pitty released the music videos against the grain and Te Conecta, which were included in the singer's fifth album, Matrix, released in 2019. In 2022 she released the EP Casulo, with 4 tracks, launching his own label.

In 2006, two years after ending her relationship with drummer Duda Machado, Pitty met fellow drummer Daniel Weskler, who played in the band at the time NX Zero.
