The actress Italian-Brazilian Luciana Vendramini is one of the best-known personalities in Brazil and has built a solid career in television, cinema and theater since she stood out at a very young age, in decade 1980.

Luciana Regina Vendramini was born in Jaú, in the interior of São Paulo, on December 10, 1970, daughter of Genesio Vendramini e Yvone Malveis Vendramini. She was raised in the city of São Paulo alongside her parents and siblings Christian and Miriam.

In 1987, at the age of 16, Luciana participated in the competition to choose the first “Catuxa” paquita, the program’s fourth stage assistant. Xou da Xuxa, from TV Globo.

Showcase on television

That same year, Luciana Vendramini participated in the competition Fantastic Girl, on the Fantástico program, also on Globo. The program was one of the country's main showcases for young women to show their beauty and have the opportunity to consolidate your talents over the years.

In the competition that chose the paquita, Luciana was a finalist and ended up losing the position to Ana Paula Guimarães. But her beauty caught so much attention behind the scenes that she was invited by a producer to do a modeling test.

She passed the test and, in the following years, began to carry out various jobs in the area. Her face became well known, as it featured editorials from fashion in the main Brazilian magazines.

In 1987, the same year she began appearing with modeling work, Luciana Vendramini posed for a essay in Playboy magazine.

Although the magazine's directors stated that the shoot was carried out shortly after she turned 18, the story goes that Luciana was 17 years old when the photos were taken.

The edition of the magazine, which featured a photo of Luciana Vendramini wearing Xuxa's paquita uniform on the cover, made great sales success and made the model even better known across the country.

Television works

In the following years, Luciana began working as an actress in soap operas such as Vamp (1991), The Cattle King (1996) and The Color of Sin (2004). In 2008, at the age of 38, he decided to officially retire from modeling career, which she never stopped working alongside her career as an actress.

In 2003, Luciana Vendramini made news when she returned from a period of four years away from work, due to a condition Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Upon her return, she began acting in the play 4.48 Psychosis, in the role of Sarah Kane. 

Also in 2003, Luciana posed once again for Playboy, again as the protagonist of cover essay, and again with a large number of editions sold.

Luciana Vendramini and cinema

She also worked in cinema, where she debuted in 1988 in the film The Wedding of the Trapalhões. After that, she acted in works such as Solitude, A Love Story (1989) and Cirandar (2003).

In 2012, Luciana Vendramini starred in the first homosexual kiss shown on the SBT channel, in the soap opera A Rose with Love. At the time, she played the character Marcela, who had a relationship with Marina, a character played by the actress Giselle Tiger.

Soap operas and series

In recent years, Luciana continues working on soap operas and television series and continues to act in film roles, such as in the film Future Gallery, released in 2021. In theater, one of his last appearances was in the play My Plastic Life (2016).

In her personal life, Luciana became known for having married the singer Paulo Ricardo, former member of the band RPM, with whom he had a relationship between 1989 and 1997.

In 2017, Luciana posted several photos of a family trip to Italy, in the regions of Tuscany and Venice. According to her, the trip served to “find the family roots”.

Luciana Vendramini has no children and since 2019 has been in a relationship with her boyfriend Henry.
