Renewing a tradition since 1967, the National Wine Festival (Fenavinho) This Saturday (23) met the court that will represent the 17th edition of the event.
The representative of Segh Uva e Vinho, Laís Dupont, 25 years old, was crowned Empress of Wine. Next to her, there will be the Bridesmaids, Raiane Conci (representative of Vale do Burati) and Letícia Beliski (representative of the NGO Patas e Focinhos).
The selection was made on Saturday night (23), at Parque de Eventos de Bento Gonçalves, in front of an audience of more than 700 people in the hall of Pavilion A.

Laís, Raiane and Letícia recorded the highest scores in the judges' technical assessment, which took into account their performance in individual interviews (where they discussed aspects such as personal presentation, communication and expression, and knowledge) and in the parade (observing friendliness, cordiality, beauty , resourcefulness, tranquility and naturalness).

The jury was made up of ten guests: Aline Gregio, Bárbara Bortolini, Claudia Remus, João Pulita, Juju Massena, Lizandra Mazzoccato, Luciana dos Santos Ribeiro, Patrícia Binz, Rodrigo Parisotto and Vanessa Souza.
Laís was also the winner of the popular vote, a new feature in this edition of the contest, and gained extra points in the sum. She concentrated 11,7% of the votes. The new Empress set the tone for what the next few days will be like as representatives of the event.

“I am very happy to be one of those chosen to represent this beautiful party. We will promote it with lots of love and dedication because Fenavinho deserves it”, said the new sovereign.

For Maid of Honor Raiane Conci, it is a pride to represent the farming families who dedicate their lives to grape production, and the people who work so hard and give life to the city, honoring them through Fenavinho.
— As the daughter and granddaughter of winegrowers, and successor of the family property, I guarantee that they will be very well represented at the 17th Fenavinho — she stated
Also Maid of Honor Letícia Beliski highlighted the opportunity to further promote regional wines, culture and tourism, as well as enchant and guide visitors through the region's symbol drink.
— We will be Fenavinho from start to finish, we will do our best to make this edition of the party unforgettable — he said.
For the first time, Fenavinho presented the court with a cash prize: R$4 thousand for the Empress and R$3 thousand for each of the two Maids of Honor. They also received other awards from supporters. In total, 18 candidates competed for the title.

The new trio replaces the court from the 2019 edition, formed by the Empress of Wine Bárbara Bortolini and the Bridesmaids, Sandi Marina Corso and Ana Paula Pastorello. The event organizers also announced the creation of a wine with a limited batch of 300 bottles with the touch of the sovereigns elected in 2019.
The court was responsible for personalizing the wine, which is 80% Merlot based and, in its composition, the combination with other varieties determined by the sovereigns – resulting in a drink that carries the identity of the trio.

The 17th edition of Fenavinho is scheduled to take place from the 9th to the 19th of June, together with the 30th ExpoBento. (by Pioneiro/gauchazh)
