Police in Verona, northern Italy, have managed to locate and arrest a man in Paraguay Italian-Brazilian 45 years old who had been wanted since September 2024 for sexual violence against minors.
The criminal was in Ciudad del Este, on the triple border with Brazil and Argentina, where he believed he would not be found in order to serve his sentence.
However, the police in the South American country managed to arrest him after being called by the international cooperation service of the Italian Ministry of the Interior, which received guidance from the Verona police about the fugitive.
The man, who committed sexual violence against minors between June and July 2016 in Verona, must serve a sentence of five years and two days in prison.
