Italian Health Institute opens vacancies for “young researchers”

O Higher Institute of Health (ISS) from Italy has launched a call for funding for four research projects of “young researchers”, for a maximum duration of 30 months.

Registration is open until January 17, 2022, for Italians and foreigners.

The requirements to compete are:

  • Do not have an employment relationship;
  • Hold a doctorate or specialization degree (in the case of medical graduates);
  • Not have reached the age of 33 by the deadline for registration.

To complete the registration application, the candidate must also attach their CV, identity document and research proposal.

ISS will offer the winners 40 thousand euros gross for each year of research.

Among the possible areas of research, the following stand out:

  • Health and environment;
  • Drugs;
  • Communicable diseases;
  • Non-communicable diseases and rare diseases;
  • Disease prevention, health promotion and global health;
  • Food security and nutrition;
  • Chemistry, radiation, innovative technologies and telemedicine.
