According to the newspaper Corriere della Sera, RAI management is discussing possible replacements for Sigfrido Ranucci as head of Report, the Italian public broadcaster's flagship news program. Names circulating internally include Federico Ruffo, considered the favorite, as well as Maria Cuffaro, Alessio Zucchini, and Alberto Nerazzini, former partner of Milena Gabanelli, the program's founder.
RAI's top management considers the matter premature and is awaiting the Ethics Committee's report before making any decision. Among the possibilities are a format with two presenters sharing hosting duties, or even an edition without a fixed anchor, featuring only reports. A decision is not expected before August.
