The Italian university LUISS University (Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali), located in Rome, Italy, began its participation this Monday (27) in the Social Science Universities Network (SSUN) Conference in Rio de Janeiro, which brings together more than 20 universities from around the world every year to discuss the evolution of social sciences.
With the participation in the conference of professor Raffaele Marchetti, Pro-Rector of Internationalization at LUIS, the institution takes another step towards internationalizing its vision of Education throughout the world, with South America as one of the strategic points of this mission.
Furthermore, next Wednesday, March 1st, the new Chapter of the Luiss Graduates Association (ALL) will be inaugurated in São Paulo, at the Italian Consulate. This is the fifteenth branch of a network that includes more than 54 professionals worldwide and will serve as a point of reference for alumni from across the continent.
The chapter leader will be Charles Cauti, journalist and president of the Association of Foreign Correspondents in Brazil.
LUISS also in Argentina
Next week, between March 6th and 9th, the mission in South America will conclude with arrival in Argentina. With support from the Embassy in Buenos Aires, meetings and orientation sessions will be held with the country's main schools and universities, including Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, Universidad de Belgrano and Universidad Torcuato di Tella.
A series of meetings will also be held with Italian-Argentine communities.
The objective of the mission between Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Curitiba and Buenos Aires is to intercept, also through strengthening partnerships with local universities and with Italian Chambers of Commerce in Brazil and Argentina, the potential demand for training in a region where more than 60 million natives of Italian origin live, according to the latest estimates.

The University's mission is named after Guido Carli in South America and is an important part of LUISS' global internationalization strategy, which in October 2022 laid the cornerstone of the US Foundation in Washington DC, in the United States.
The Foundation will be dedicated to fundraising activities with universities, companies and organizations on American soil, in addition to the launch of the Trans-Atlantic Business Executive (TABE) International Master for training managers with a transatlantic vision, in partnership with universities and associations Confindustria de 6 nations.
