Italian company plane is intercepted by Slovak fighters

A flight from the Italian airline Ernest Airlines, operated by an A320, was intercepted by two Migs 29 fighters on the last 24th, while making the route Milan to Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The reason for the interception would be because the pilot of the A320 would not have responded to calls from the control tower, which usually puts the air defense of any nation on alert.

The Migs were triggered by air defense control and left towards the A320. According to reports, the fighters broke the sound barrier when they were towards the Airbus.

The fighters escorted the A320 until contact with the tower was re-established, with which the A320 proceeded to its destination, landing at a time well behind schedule in relation to the estimate. And the Migs returned to their home base in Slovakia.
