Students of the gastronomy course at Usina da Paz (UsiPaz), in Belém, participate in the 3rd edition of Italy Mia Festival, which celebrates Italian culture and gastronomy in the famous Estação das Docas complex.
The event, which started on Saturday (30) and continues until Monday (2), brings together music, dance and delights of Italian cuisine, with free admission.
The 12 participants were selected by the course “Mana Pasta, Donna Massa”, held in October at UsiPaz, in partnership with Dea Maiorana Institute and the Government of Pará.
During the festival, the students put into practice the knowledge they have acquired, preparing pasta and typical dishes from the region. Italian culinary, under the supervision of chef Ricardo Nobre, from Italian Federation of Chefs in Brazill.
“The festival brings visibility and new opportunities for us, cooks and entrepreneurs”, highlighted Andreza Pinto, one of the participants.
Rosângela Maiorana, president of the Dea Maiorana Institute, reiterated the importance of the event in strengthening female empowerment and ensuring opportunities for professional growth for participants. “We want these women to continue growing and entering the job market,” she said.
