Wine Searcher, a global wine price comparison platform, has released a list of the 20 most searched labels in 2025. Among the highlights are two Italians: Tignanello, from Marchesi Antinori, and Sassicaia, from Tenuta San Guido, both produced in the Tuscany region.
French wines from Bordeaux continue to dominate the rankings. Classics such as Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Margaux and Chateau Latour reaffirm France's tradition in the high-end segment.
The list was compiled based on consumer research and access data from Wine Searcher, an international reference in the sector.
Tuscany represents Italy in the world elite
O Tignanello is a red wine from the Antinori family, one of the most traditional in Italy. Produced with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, it has become a symbol of Italian winemaking innovation since the 1970s.

Already Sassicaia, created in the Bolgheri region, is one of the first “Super Tuscans”. Produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it is a constant presence in international rankings. In 2025, it was also listed among the best red wines in Italy by the magazine Gentleman.
French predominance and only American
Of the 20 most sought-after wines, 17 are French, with a strong presence from the Bordeaux region. Among them, names such as Petrus – the most expensive wine in the Bordeaux region –, Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau d'Yquem and Chateau Mouton Rothschild.
The only representative outside Europe is Opus One, produced in Napa Valley, California (USA). The result of a partnership between the American winery Robert Mondavi and the French Baron Philippe de Rothschild, it is a reference of excellence in the New World.
