Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi offers scholarships based on merit and financial need
The Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, located in Milan, Italy, is consistently ranked among the top 20 in the world in the fields of business and economics.
And to attract the best students, they offer full undergraduate and master's scholarships in Italy, based on merit and financial need. The next round of registrations closes on June 5th.
For Graduation
The undergraduate courses offered by Bocconi are in the areas of Economics, Administration, Finance and Political Sciences. For all of them, merit and financial need scholarships are offered – with Bachelor's programs lasting 3 years and Bachelor's and Master's in Law 5 years.
All candidates accepted for degree programs will be evaluated based on their academic performance – it is not necessary to submit additional documents. The Merit Scholarship includes all tuition costs, estimated at €11.500 as well as free on-campus accommodation. In addition to this, there is also the Bocconi International Award, which offers those selected 50% of the annual fee.
Financial need scholarships include a full exemption from the program's annual fee, and can be renewed for the duration of the program. In addition to applying to the chosen program, the candidate also needs to submit an application form that provides information about their family's financial condition.
Students who do not have Italian citizenship and do not possess a high school diploma issued by an Italian school are eligible to apply for scholarships in Italy.
Application
The course application process includes sending an academic CV, language certificates, Letter of Motivation and scores on standardized tests, such as the SAT or the Bocconi Test, organized by the university itself. Students can apply simultaneously for any of the scholarships, but they are not cumulative.

For Masters
In addition to undergraduate courses, Bocconi also offers 10 Master's degrees (Master of Sciences, in the areas of Economics, Administration, Finance and Social Sciences) – nine of which are taught entirely in English.
For the master's degree, Merit Scholarships are offered – which cover 100% of the annual fee and may include accommodation on the university campus. For these scholarships in Italy, all accepted candidates are assessed according to their academic performance, and there is no separate application process.
The Bocconi International Awards are also offered to master's students. These scholarships cover 50% of the annual fee (equivalent to approximately € 6.000).
Financial need scholarships are aimed at students who can prove that they are unable to afford the master's degree. These scholarships cover 100% of the annual fee – worth approximately 12,700 euros – which can be renewed for another year.
To apply for this scholarship, the candidate must submit, in addition to the normal application, a form proving financial need.
Application
Applying for the program includes sending GMAT or GRE results, transcripts, CV and Letter of Motivation, as well as proof of proficiency in the course language.
It is not necessary to make a separate application for the scholarships - just inform, during the application, that you want to compete. The candidate's academic excellence and the documents sent as part of the application will be used as evaluation criteria.
Although there are three “rounds” of applications, the institution warns that most of the benefits will be granted to candidates who submit their applications in the first rounds – which, for the Master's Degree, registrations close on June 5th.
