Sostila is a small village located at the foot of the Italian Alps.
Isolated and far from any civilization, the city is inhabited by a single man, Fausto Mottalini. The Italian village was abandoned by its residents in the mid-1960s. Very cold winters, poorly finished roads and precarious living conditions meant that the 15 people who lived there were forced to look for better places to live.
Fausto Mottalini, the only resident of the ghost town, decided to return to his hometown a few decades ago. Today, this 65-year-old man, who lives alone in his grandmother's old house, proves that it is possible to live with only essential necessities, such as food and shelter.
For him, the practically untouched nature makes his life even more pleasant and light. The fresh, clean air, silence, peace and panoramic views of Sostila make the city the best place to live. At least, for Faust.
He spends his days outside trekking, taking photos, cutting wood to keep warm from the cold, harvesting fruits and vegetables from his garden, cooking, meditating and reading a lot. Without a doubt, Fausto has the stress-free life that many people are looking for!

The only big problem for him is having to go to the nearest city at least twice a week. As there is nothing in Sostila, no shops, bars and even less roads, Fausto leaves his car at the end of the nearest highway so that he can waste less time walking through the forest until he gets to his house.
Do you think Faust is always alone in Sostila? Your mistake... His nephew, Franco, dressed in medieval clothes, takes curious tourists on trekking trips through the woods to see the ghost village. On the tour, you can see the houses inside and out and see that everything that was left there by the former residents remains intact to this day! Too much, right?
