Italian police use Lamborghini Huracán to transport donor organ and break speed record
Since 2008, the Italian police has a partnership with Lamborghini to use one of the brand's sports cars as a vehicle — started with a Gallant, and currently a Hurricane.
The latest model unit in the corporation's service was recently used to transport an organ directly to the operating table.
So far, so normal: this is one of the most demanding tasks of the fastest vehicle in Italy. But what is surprising is the speed of the journey and the distance covered: It was almost 500 km from Padua to Rome. In less than three hours.! This gives an average speed of more than 160 km/h.
A time almost by helicopter. To give you an idea, the trip would have taken at least 4 hours if it had been done within the speed limits.
But who would fine a police Lamborghini? Is not true?
In the tweet, the department says that “You don't need superpowers to save a life. Solidarity, technology and efficiency also help".
The kidney transport operation was reported by the Italian police in their Twitter.
