Complex will have 40 trulli to host tourists and is being built in Puglia
The countdown has begun: the Pizza Disneyland will open its doors in Puglia, in the extreme south of Italy.
The idea is from the famous private Francis Martucci, voted the best pizzaiolo in Italy in 2019.
The ongoing project – which will be called Posta Mangieri – will be built on a fifty-hectare farm, in Corato, Piede Piccolo district, and will have a farmhouse, a hall with more than a hundred seats and 40 trulli (old stone buildings, with conical roofs, common in this part of Italy) to host tourists.

Why Puglia? For a handful of good reasons. Also because the chosen location is far from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism, the most popular holiday routes, according to Martucci.
"An idea born from the spirit of freedom“, said the pizzaiolo, who was born in the region and was successful in the “salto da bota”.
Corato (in the province of Bari), the town of the extra-strong olive from which coratina oil is pressed, is the love of Martucci's life, whose maternal grandmother is from Cerignola (in the province of Foggia) and her paternal grandmother is from Torre Santa Susanna (in the province of Brindisi).

A place that has to do with an unusual romanticism of bad boy of Italian pizza, but also with its wild temperament.
The “Disneyland of pizza” should open between June and July this year.
While it's not ready, visitors can try their pizza at The Masaniellis of Caserta, which is among the best pizzerias in Italy.
The restaurant, like many others from the north to the south of Italy, recently restarted its activities, after a forced lockdown due to the Coronavirus emergency.
