Brazilian top model Gisele Bündchen played the Italian actress Monica Vitti (1931-2022) during a campaign for the Zara brand.
“I had so much fun portraying Monica Vitti for the lens of my dear friend Steven Meisel for Stefano Pilati’s special collection for Zara,” the model said on her Instagram page.
Vitti became known as the “muse” of director Michelangelo Antonioni, with whom she had a long romantic relationship.
Among the duo's most famous films are “The Adventure” (1960), “The Night” (1961), “The Eclipse” (1962), “The Red Desert” (1964) and “The Oberwald Mystery” (1981).
