The presenter and artistic director of the Sanremo Festival, Carlo Conti, announced last Friday (31) that the British band Duran Duran will participate in the next edition of the Italian musical event.
Successful in the 1980s and 1990s, the group will return to the Teatro Ariston, in Italy, for the first time in 40 years.
The band was invited to perform on the night of February 13th.
“We just closed the deal and received final approval. After 40 years, Duran Duran will return to the Ariston. An extraordinary band of music from yesterday, today and tomorrow, a timeless band,” Conte celebrated, adding that the group will surprise the audience “with special effects.”
Duran Duran, a band known for songs such as “Ordinary World”, “Come Undone”, “Save a Prayer” and “A Matter of Feeling”, is currently formed by Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Simon Le Bon.
The next edition of the Sanremo Festival is scheduled to take place between February 11th and 15th. (HANDLE)
