The 24th edition of the Italian Film Festival, which opened on November 17th with a drive-in session at the Pacaembu stadium, in São Paulo.
The exhibition runs until December 8th and includes 24 films divided into two programs: a retrospective of stars and another of contemporary cinema.
The first includes Italian features such as “The Great Beauty”, masterpiece by Paolo Sorrentino and winner of the Oscar for best foreign film in 2014; “Habemus Papam”, by Nanni Moretti; “Death in Venice”, by Luchino Visconti; and “Cesar Must Die”, by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani.
The second has Italian films that have never been released in Brazil, such as “Irmãos à Italiana”, by Claudio Noce; “Don’t Hate”, by Mauro Mancini; “Hammamet”, by Gianni Amelio; and “The Truth About 'The Sweet Life'”, a documentary by Giuseppe Pedersoli about Federico Fellini's masterpiece.
All feature films will be shown through the cinema’s streaming platform Petra Fine Arts, from São Paulo, at a single cost of R$9,90 for the entire festival period. To watch the films, you must subscribe to the service and consult the categories “contemporary Italian cinema” and “retrospective of the stars”.
The Italian Film Festival is organized by the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of São Paulo (Italcam). (put HANDLE).
