The film "Italian legacy” tells the 145th anniversary of the arrival of the Italians in Serra Gaúcha
"Italian legacy“, a moving documentary about Italian immigration in Brazil, premieres on the 19th.
With beautiful images and powerful testimonies, the film revisits the 145th anniversary of the arrival of the Italians in Serra Gaúcha.
Religious themes, music, gastronomy, and wine are discussed by descendants of immigrants from the region. More than 90 people were interviewed.
The filming of “Italian Legacy” takes place in Northern Italy, where most of them came from, and in Serra Gaúcha: Bento Gonçalves, Carlos Barbosa, Caxias do Sul, Farroupilha, Flores da Cunha, Garibaldi, Pinto Bandeira, Nova Pádua and Monte Belo.
In Europe, we go to Trentino and Veneto (cradle of the vast majority of people who came to the South) and Genoa, where the steamships headed to America left.
Directed by Marcia Monteiro, the film “Legado Itália” is a co-production by Camisa Listrada with Globo Filmes, Globo News and Celeiro Produções.
