Os Comites (Committees of Italians Abroad) have played a fundamental role over the years by promoting events that not only celebrate important dates, such as Christmas, but also reinforce integration and cultural dialogue between Italian communities spread across the world.

With an agenda full of initiatives, the Comites in different countries have reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Italian culture and strengthening community ties.

Vienna: solidarity in the kitchen

O Committees of Austria embraced the Christmas spirit of solidarity by participating in a charity event in the Caritas Vienna kitchen. Under the title “I added a place to the table” and in collaboration with the IX Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, committee members prepared meals for homeless people.

The project was made possible by the support of Italian Embassy in Vienna and the supplier Panarese Pasta, who donated ingredients. An action that combined gastronomy, solidarity and the dissemination of Italian culture in Austrian lands.

Tokyo: connecting with young Italian-Japanese people

In Tokyo, the Tokyo-Fuji Committees launched the program Italian Shinseijin Network 2024, aimed at connecting young people from the Italian-Japanese community. Young people will have the opportunity to participate free of charge in the prestigious ICCJ Gala Dinner & Concert, in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

The event seeks not only to strengthen ties between young people, but also to connect them to the Italian corporate universe in Japan, creating bridges to the future.

Madrid: cultural center

In Spain, the Madrid Committees inaugurated its Cultural Center, a space dedicated to the promotion of Italian identity and cultural exchange. The opening event was attended by renowned Italian journalist Emilio Buttaro, who shared memorable moments from his career, remembering iconic figures such as Maradona and Pavarotti.

The center promises to be a meeting point for the Italian community in Madrid, offering a rich agenda of cultural events and debates.

Houston: Christmas party for all ages

In Houston, United States, the Local committees organizes your Christmas Party on December 7th, with activities for children and adults, including a Secret Santa and a traditional one tombola.

The event will be attended by the Consul General Mauro Lorenzini and aims to bring the community together in an atmosphere of friendship and tradition, celebrating Christmas in a warm way.

Monte Carlo: Christmas concert and tribute to Modugno

O Monaco Committees held another edition of its already traditional Christmas Concert, this time paying homage to the legendary Domenico Modugno. With the participation of Sanremo Symphony OrchestraThe event brought together the local Italian community in a celebration that blended classical music with Modugno's timeless songs.

The audience, made up of Italians and Monegasques, filled the venue and celebrated the union through music.
