O Bambozzi Group, a giant in the metallurgical area, was founded 111 years ago by a Italian family. The Bambozzi brothers arrived in the country in 1898.
Na wave of immigration that brought thousands of Italians to Brazil, hoping to find work and form their families, the brothers Basilio and Ferdinando Bambozzi They arrived in the country in January 1898, together with the rest of the family.
The Italians, who came from the region of Brands, which is in the central area of Italy – Ferdinando and Basilio were born in Ancona –, they established themselves in the interior of the State of São Paulo, more precisely in the municipality of Matão.
In their new city, the Italian brothers founded the first version of the Bambozzi Group on June 15, 1910, on land in rural area of Matão.
He was at Officina Irmãos Bambozzi, which at the time fixed agricultural implements, wagons and firearms with such care that it began to become known for its products and services that “lasted a long time”.
Bambozzi changes branch
In 1920, the company changed its name, becoming just Bambozzi, and changed branches and addresses as well, as it ended up settling in Central region of the city. In services, the brothers began to include the plow making, weepers, duck beaks for weeding and plowing coffee plantations and a weeper with three very light hoes, among other products.

In 1930, Bambozzi began manufacturing generators to produce electrical energy on farms, farms and even in small towns. In the same period, the group decided to expand the market and produce ice cream machines, automatic refrigerators, industrial equipment and for electrical purposes and iron, bronze and aluminum casting. Additionally, the brothers began rebuilding gas, gasoline, steam, crude oil and kerosene engines.
It is worth remembering that Brazil was in full industrial expansion and, in that context, the brothers manufactured the first refrigeration appliances in the country, including counters, refrigerators and electricity generators. With this, the Bambozzi began to supply their products to many customers.

During Second World War, in 1939, the company faced an obstacle, but ended up reinventing itself. Sulfur gas, present in the manufacture of refrigerators, has been banned worldwide. That same year, with the discovery of the country's first oil well in Salvador, in Bahia, the company signed a partnership with Petrobras.
At the end of the Second World War, in 1945, Bambozzi entered a new era, recognized worldwide with the advent of soldering machine and alternators. The company launched the first electric welding machine manufactured in Latin America. This feat reinforced the characteristics of second generation of the family Bambozzi, to maintain creativity and seek new things, resulting in a great leap forward for the group.

With the invention already working in a workshop in Paraná, the company entered the Brazilian market for metalworking, changing its name Bambozzi S/A Hydraulic and Electrical Machinery Factory and, shortly after, Bambozzi S/A Hydraulic and Electrical Machines.
Bambozzi starts exporting
In 1956, now already leveraging its international projection, Bambozzi opened space for its third generation and carried out the first export to Mexico. A few years later, it expanded its product line and began to reach countries in the four continents.
Over the decades, Bambozzi machines have been responsible for Big works who helped build the country. Among the works with the participation of Bambozzi technology are the constructions of Brasilia (1956), the Duque de Caxias refinery, the first in Brazil (1961), from Rio Niteroi bridge (1968), the Itaipú Plant (1971), from the São Paulo Subway Jabaquara-Santana (1974) and the Brazil-Bolivia gas pipeline (1999)

The works in Rio de Janeiro for Pan American Games in Brazil, in 2007, the group also participated in, as well as the works for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics.
Ramifications
Bambozzi continues as a family administration and is proud of not depending on foreign capital, even in times of crisis.
In addition to monitoring the various innovations in technology of the machinery it manufactures, Bambozzi has included other products and services, which resulted in the company adapting to better serve its customers from different segments.
As a result, today the Bambozzi Group consists of four companies, specialized in Power generators, Welding machines, Machine overhaul e Hoists and grinding motor.

Job inheritance
The history of Bambozzi family em Matão is not limited to industrial activities. O mayor of Matão between 1964 and 1968 was Armando Bambozzi, son of one of the company's founding brothers, Ferdinando Bambozzi, it's from Maria Maccagnan. He died on July 6, 1999, aged 82.
Another member of the second generation of the family, Antonio Bambozzi, former industrial director and member of the group's Executive Board, died on December 4, 2017. He was also the son of Ferdinando and Maria.
The company remains in the family, which carries on the work inheritance e entrepreneurial vision of brothers Basil and Ferdinand, who arrived in Brazil looking for a job and ended up building one of the greatest success stories in Brazil Brazilian industry.
