Italy presents almost 200 wines at Wine South America 2022

Country with strong presence in the cups of Brazilians, Italy will be one of the highlights of Wine South America, the main professional fair in Latin America aimed at the wine sector, which takes place September 21st to 23rd in Bento Gonçalves (LOL).

Italian participation in the 3rd edition of the event is promoted by ITA – Italian Trade Agency and is part of a broad program of initiatives aimed at trade and consumers, with the target increase the presence of Made in Italy wine among Brazilians, who so much appreciate Italian wine and gastronomic production.

“The goal is expand the offer of Italian labels in Brazil, reinforce our positioning as country number 1 in world wine production and with largest variety of wines: are more than 3 thousand types produced in all our 20 regions”, points out Ferdinando Fiore, director for Brazil of the ITA office.

In the first 7 months of 2022, Brazilian wine imports Made in Italy totaled 20,6 million dollars and approximately 7 million liters.

They are very popular among Brazilians the wines of Tuscany, Puglia, Emilia Romagna, Sicily, Veneto, Piedmont and Abruzzo. Furthermore, wines from Friuli, Campania, Umbria, Trentino Alto Adige begin to gain space and Brands.
