Southern Italy was announced this Thursday (20) as the leader of the most recent climate ranking made in partnership by the newspaper Corriere della Sera with the meteorological website iLMeteo.it, which was based on the most livable Italian cities based on the climate in 2024.
Cagliari, in Sardinia, took first place in the balance, followed by Naples and Salerno, in Campania.
Brindisi, in Puglia, secured fourth place, ahead of Agrigento, in Sicily.
For meteorologist Lorenzo Tedici, from iLMeteo.it, quoted by Corriere, “the north of the country performed worse in the survey due to the extreme events and heavy rains recorded last year”.
The expert cited the city of Milan, capital of Lombardy, as an example of bad weather, as it recorded 111 days of rain, an increase of 58% compared to the previous year. (HANDLE)
