How to schedule an appointment

You must also submit a copy of a valid identity document and proof of current address in the applicant's name. Applications submitted with incomplete forms will not be processed by the consulate.
Procedure and issuance
Citizens who meet the requirements will be contacted by email or phone to schedule an in-person appointment. On the scheduled day, the applicant must bring the original documents and a 3,5 x 4,5 cm photograph.
The service includes fingerprinting, signature, and payment of the consular fee. (21,95 euros). The amount must be paid by debit card at the time of service.
The document is produced in Italy by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. Delivery is via registered mail to the declared address, and tracking can be done online.
Validity and issuance in Italy
The validity of the Electronic Identity Card for citizens of legal age is ten years. The term varies according to the age group of the document holder.
