Lucas Piton Crivellaro, or simply lucas python, is about to become the next Brazilian to wear the Italian selection.

The Vasco da Gama full-back received a pre-call-up from Roberto Mancini for the next FIFA Date, which will take place in June.

At age 22, the Brazilian player obtained Italian citizenship in 2021, after spending a few days in a residence in Italy to complete the entire process. He is the great-grandson of Italians.

Born and raised in Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, Piton grew up in Corinthians' youth teams and has played for Vasco since last summer. In 2020, he was also surveyed by Sampdoria, club Genova.

Even before being pre-called up, the player received contact from the Italian federation, showing interest in knowing if he would be willing to play for the Italian national team.

The official list of those called up will be released next week and, in relation to this, Piton shared with those close to him that it is important to “keep your feet on the ground” at this time.

It is worth noting that Piton is not the first player born in Brazil to be called up to wear the Italian national team shirt.

The story features several Brazilian players who have represented the Italian team on the field, totaling 14 representatives, including the 1934 world champion, Anfilogino Guarisi, known as “Phylum".

Na Italy's victory in the last European Cup, held in 2021, Brazilians Jorginho, Emerson Palmieri e Rafael Toloi were present in the Italian team.
