The deputy – and Italian citizen – Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) has been a fugitive since June 5, when she landed in Italy with a European passport, after fleeing Brazil to avoid an arrest warrant issued by the Supreme Federal Court.

Since then, the deputy's whereabouts have been unknown. "The investigations have not confirmed her location so far," Ferro said. She also said that Italian authorities are in contact with the Brazilian government.
The formal extradition request was delivered by the Brazilian embassy in Rome on Thursday (12), but there were no comments on the next steps.
Bonelli also questioned whether Jair Bolsonaro and his sons had applied for Italian citizenship. According to Ferro, the former president never made such a request. – but sources reveal that the former president is continuing with the process to obtain Italian citizenship. at the Court of Venice.
His sons Flávio, Eduardo and Carlos have citizenship, obtained through the embassy in Brazil.
In his reply, the deputy criticized the government. “Italy cannot become a paradise for fugitives, coup plotters and criminals,” he said, accusing the Interior Ministry of deliberate omission.
