Milan became champions of the Italian Championship after 11 years. It took more than 10 years to wait, but the team Red-black finally took home the famous Scudetto again, after the 3-0 victory over Sassuolo, this Sunday (22/5).
The Italian Championship title was disputed until the last round, but Inter Milan ended up taking second place. Milan's biggest rival, the Nerazzurro (blue and black, in Italian) club, had 84 points, while the champions finished with 86.
During the time that Milan was bitter in the queue, the club saw the Juventus stack nine consecutive Serie A titles and arch-rivals, Inter Milan, won last season (20/21).
Between these 11 years, the Rossoneri only managed to qualify for the Champions League three times, in the 11/12, 12/13 and 20/21 seasons.
