Ana Paula Arósio She is one of the best-known faces in Brazil, whether due to her career as an actress or her past as a photographic model. Great-granddaughter of Italians from the region of Lombardia, it represents very well the beauty of Italian-Brazilian woman.

Born on July 16, 1975 in São Paulo, the capital, Ana Paula Arósio began her career modeling career at age 12, after being discovered by an advertiser inside a supermarket.

From his first works, he began to print magazine covers and make various television commercials, until she debuted as an actress at the age of 16. His first job in his new career was in the film Forever (1991), an Italian-Brazilian production directed by Walter Hugo Khouri, and with the participation of actor Ben Gazzara.

Her debut on Globo was highly praised and, from then on, Ana Paulo Arósio became recognized throughout the country, not only for his role in the miniseries, but also as Embratel poster girl. She was the face of the company in TV commercials, in which she repeated the advertising slogan “Make a 21”.

Novel about Italian immigration

Her first work as an exclusive actress for TV Globo was in the soap opera Our land, which aired in 1999. The plot portrayed the arrival of Italian immigrants to Brazil and its influence on Brazilian society at the turn of the 19th century. In the plot, Ana Paula played the character Giuliana, romantic couple Matteo, character by Thiago Lacerda.

In the following years she was successful in two more global soap operas: The Mayans (2001) e Hope (2002). In 2004 she worked on the miniseries One Heart, produced in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the city of São Paulo. In the production, she played the historical character Yolanda Penteado.

Also in 2004, she won the award for Best Supporting/Secondary Actress for the film Celeste & Estrela, at the 3rd Varginha Film Festival.

In 2005, he became a romantic partner again with Fábio Assunção, with whom he had starred in Os Maias. This time it was in miniseries Mad Maria.

More soap operas and commercials

After various period works, which marked his career, in 2006 he played his second contemporary character (the first had been in Razão de Viver, on SBT). It was in the soap opera Life pages, as Olivia, one of the protagonists of the plot.

In 2007, the new Avon brand poster girl and, the following year, he returned to period productions, in the soap opera Ciranda of Stone, new adaptation of the work by Lygia Fagundes Telles.

In 2010, he filmed the feature film How to forget and participated in the miniseries In the Form of the Law, alongside names like Luana Piovani and Márcio Garcia.

Resignation from TV and reclusive life

In October 2010, she was considered to star in the soap opera Foolish Heart, Ana Paula Arósio was absent from the recordings, according to Rede Globo. On December 20 of the same year, she resigned from the broadcaster and terminated his contract.

Since then, he has not acted in any other television work, but has starred in three films: Anita & Garibaldi (2013), The Moving Forest (2015) e Spring (2018).

After ten years away from TV, in 2020 she returned as the star of a commercial for Banco Santander.

Tragedy in youth

Ana Paula Arósio's personal trajectory has an episode that caused deep emotional upheaval. In 1996, when she was 21 years old, her then fiancé, businessman Luiz Carlos Leonardo Tjurs, committed suicide by shooting himself in the mouth in front of her, after a violent attack of jealousy. The incident occurred just one month before the date set for the wedding of Ana Paula and Luiz Carlos.

In the following years, Ana Paula Arósio dated the actors Marcos palmeira e Tarcísio Filho and also had a relationship with the director Ricardo Waddington and with the knight Remo Tellini.

The actress also dated the polo player João Paulo Ganon, the photographer Pablo de Souza and the doctor Fábio Henrique Rossi.

In 2009, she started dating the architect and knight Henrique Plombon Pinheiro, whom he married the following year in a discreet ceremony, on his farm, in the municipality of Santa rita do passa quatro, 253 kilometers from São Paulo.

Since then, she chose to live in seclusion on the farm, dedicating herself to horse breeding.

In 2015, she and her husband moved to the rural area of Swindon, in England, where they still live today.
