The most precious bottle of wine in the world is “made in Italy”. Not because of the divine liquid it contains, but because the bottle has been inlaid with diamonds and rubies.
The jewel is in Vicenza, in the region of Veneto, in northern Italy. Specifically, it is a bottle of Amarone della Valpolicella and was made with 500 purest diamonds and rubies from Burma.
The story of the most precious bottle of wine
To make Amarone della Valpolicella area (Veneto) the most precious bottle of wine in the world, around 500 pure diamonds were chosen, all collected by hand one by one, and 10 “pigeon's blood” rubies between 1 and 2 carats from Burma.
The real highlight, however, is represented by the 20 carat ruby placed on top of the seal. It is, in fact, “a unique stone in the world”.

The price of the most precious bottle of wine in the world made in Vicenza with Amarone della Valpolicella, already in itself one of the most expensive wines in Italy, is really high: to buy it, in fact, you start with a value of 2 million and 200 thousand dollars – just over R$14 million.
Vicenza is a reference in jewelry making
The city of Vicenza is a point of reference for Italy and the entire world when it comes to the manufacture of jewelry and ornaments.

The first gold jewelry found in this area represents an important testimony that the practice of goldsmithing already existed here in Iron Age (II-I centuries BC).
However, we have to wait until 1399 for the first public deed that officially documents the existence of a prosperous jewelery in the Vicenza area: it is the deed of incorporation of the Fraglia degli Orafi of Vicenza, an entity that included around 150 artisans.
