The Italian military police, known as CarabinieriThe corporation has added two new high-performance models to its fleet for a special mission: the urgent transport of organs and blood. The delivery of the vehicles — an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and a Maserati MCPura — took place in an official ceremony at the corporation's General Command in Rome.
This initiative is part of a partnership with the Stellantis automotive group, which brings together several Italian brands.
The vehicles, painted in the police force's institutional colors, retain almost all the characteristics of the original production models, but have been adapted with special equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
Technology and power at the service of life.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a sports sedan equipped with a 520-horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine and rear-wheel drive. The model features sports suspension and additional safety systems designed for high-speed operations. Alfa Romeo has been a long-standing partner of the Carabinieri since 1951.
The Maserati MCPura represents the brand's debut in police service. It is a high-performance coupé with a 630-horsepower Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine and a carbon fiber structure. The design ensures stability and agility even on challenging routes.
Both models will now be part of the fleet exclusively dedicated to emergency missions, such as transporting organs for transplants and rapidly delivering blood to hospitals. The vehicles were chosen based on their performance, reliability, and ability to operate in extreme situations.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander-General of the Carabinieri, Salvatore Luongo, and the CEO of Stellantis, Antonio Filosa.
In a statement, Filosa highlighted: “The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Maserati MCPura are not just symbols of performance and style, but concrete tools to guarantee speed and safety in missions of vital importance.”
According to him, the collaboration between industry and security forces demonstrates how Italian automotive excellence can be an ally to social causes and public interest.
