A new Italian-Brazilian film tells the story of three women from different generations searching for love and their roots in the Basilicata region of southern Italy.
“Loucos Amores Líquidos”, directed by Alexandre Avancini, produced by Daíse Amaral and starring Eriberto Leão, Ângela Vieira and Paloma Bernardi should premiere at the end of the second half of 2024, when the 150th anniversary of Italian immigration to Brazil is celebrated.
The film is set in Poços de Caldas and Diamantina, in Minas Gerais, and in Basilicata, and promises to delve into the complexities of human relationships, using grassroots tourism as a guiding thread through art, architecture, gastronomy, and music.
“This project is a voice within me to rescue love and identity,” said Amaral, who also stars in the film.
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.

“It's a brilliant romantic comedy, deep and funny at the same time. Upon first reading, I was swept away by the script. I believe that the public will identify a lot with each character, as they are all extremely genuine”, reinforced Eriberto Leão.
Avancini highlighted that the film is the “fulfillment of a dream”. “Just the fact of filming a large part of the project in Italy is a privilege for any filmmaker,” he highlighted. (HANDLE)
