ITA Airways resumes flights to Israel
ITA Airways will resume flights between Rome and Tel Aviv from February 1st, after a four-month suspension due to the conflict in the Middle East. Initially, there will be one daily flight in each direction. From February 16th, an overnight flight will be added.
Six Nations Tournament in Rome
The Italian rugby team will play two matches in the Six Nations Tournament at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. On February 8th, they will face Wales. On February 23rd, they will play against France. The tournament brings together Italy, England, France, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales competing for the title.
Gorizia and Nova Gorica begin their programme as European Capitals of Culture
Gorizia in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and Nova Gorica in Slovenia will kick off their 2025 European Capitals of Culture programme on 8 February. The opening event will feature art exhibitions, musical performances and food festivals.
Deadline for school enrollment
The enrollment period for primary and secondary schools ends on February 10. The process will be carried out exclusively online, through the Ministry of Education's Unica platform, accessible via SPID or electronic identity card.
Sanremo Festival
The traditional Sanremo Festival will take place between February 11th and 15th at the Ariston Theatre in Liguria. The competition will feature 30 artists and will follow its five-night format. Considered the main showcase of Italian music, the event is compared to Eurovision.
Carnival in Italy
The Venice Carnival will be held from February 14 to March 4, with water parades, street performances and masked balls. In addition to Venice, the city of Viareggio in Tuscany will host its traditional parade with papier-mâché floats and political satire.

Valentine's Day in Italy
Valentine's Day, celebrated on February 14, has Italian roots. Cities such as Terni, Verona and Quero organize special celebrations. In Verona, the festival “Verona in Love” transforms the city into a center for themed events.
