Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of the social network X, Starlink and Tesla, is reportedly looking for an imposing residence in the Tuscany region of Italy.
The information was released this Tuesday (7) by the newspaper “Il Tirreno”, according to rumors revealed by the North American press in recent days.
The South African tycoon reportedly spent his holidays in Tuscany last November and had his sights set on the Bibbiano Castle in Buoconvento, in the Siena area, as well as the Montepò Castle in Scansano (Grosseto), in the Maremma.
“We have never had contact with Elon Musk, neither now nor in 2022,” said the owners of Bibbiano Castle.
The statement refers to the billionaire's stay at the Castiglion del Bosco resort in Montalcino, just a stone's throw from Bibbiano, in July 2022, when rumors emerged about his interest in buying a castle in the region.
The reports, however, were denied by the owners of the properties. In an interview with the Winenews website, Jacopo Biondisanti, owner of the Montepò castle, denied a possible sale. However, he stressed that the possibility of a real interest on the part of the magnate for the Maremma residence would not be ruled out.
