Four of the seven Italian Consulates operating in Brazil will receive new leadership in the coming days. São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais were the first to gain a new consul.
In São Paulo, replacing Michele Pala, who assumed his duties on July 14, 2014, is the current "Minister Consigliere" of the Italian Embassy in Brazil, Filippo La Rosa. He was introduced to the São Paulo community during the official celebrations of the Italian Consulate in São Paulo related to Republic Day.

Nicola Occhipinti's replacement in Porto Alegre will be Roberto Bortot. The new Italian consul in Porto Alegre served as President of the Council of Ministers, in the Department for Administration Policies and Development of Human and Instrumental Resources.

The new consul general for the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo will be Paolo Miraglia del Giudice. Born in Naples (1965), he was consul in Recife in the second half of the 1990s. Miraglia is a “consigliere d'Ambasciata”, the third of the five degrees in the Italian diplomatic career.
In Belo Horizonte, Dario Savarese, takes the place of Aurora Russi, who had been in charge of the consulate since 2014. Graduated in Political Sciences from the University of Studi di Napoli, for the last four years he has been head of the Economic-Commercial Sector at the Italian Embassy in Tunisia.
