In a Christmas address published on Tuesday (24), the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, gave several thanks and preached unity to build an increasingly “strong and ambitious” country.
The Italian head of government remembered the people who will not be able to celebrate the date with their families, especially those who work in essential services.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the citizens who will spend Christmas with someone in need.
“You are one of the most beautiful parts of this nation and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do in the name of Italy. The heart is a treasure that cannot be sold or bought, but given as a gift. I hope that this will be an opportunity for hope, joy and serenity, so that we can look to the future with even greater confidence and optimism,” said Meloni.
After the thanks and praise, the Prime Minister dedicated a thought to the coming year, as Meloni wants an Italy “capable of looking far and aiming ever higher”.
“Let’s recharge our batteries because an equally challenging 2025 awaits us to continue together in building a strong and ambitious Italy,” he concluded.
