Support from Matteo Salvini
In addition to Meloni, other important Italian politicians also expressed support for the president-elect.
The Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, leader of the League, enthusiastically celebrated Trump's victory, praising issues such as patriotism, border control and freedom of expression. “Today is a historic day!” wrote Salvini.
