The Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo announced the opening of new appointment slots for the issuance and renewal of Italian passports at the Honorary Vice Consulate in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. Appointments will be made available this Wednesday, November 4, at 10 a.m. Brasília time.

Reservations must be made exclusively through the Prenot@Mi portal. The service is intended for Italian citizens who can prove that they reside in Mato Grosso.

To request an appointment, consular records must be up to date. Registration status can be checked through the FAST IT portal.

The consulate also requires proof of residence in the applicant’s name at the time of booking. Reservations that do not meet the requirements will be canceled.

Mato Grosso has about 2,610 Italian voters

A survey based on a registry of Italian voters indicates approximately 2,610 registrations in Mato Grosso.

Cuiabá has the largest number, with 1,183 voters, equivalent to about 45% of the state total. It is followed by Sinop (227), Rondonópolis (136), Sorriso (133) and Tangará da Serra (124).

The number represents registered voters, not necessarily the total number of Italian citizens living in Mato Grosso, since minors are not part of the electorate.

The service in Cuiabá allows Italians living in the state to apply for a passport without having to travel to the Consulate General in São Paulo.
