Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani pointed out last Wednesday (19) the possibility of creating a “Ministry of Cinema” in the government.

According to his X page, the proposal came from filmmaker and screenwriter Pupi Avati.

“Pupi Avati told me about his idea of ​​creating the Ministry of Cinema. It is an interesting proposal to promote the cultural, audiovisual and multimedia content that has always given Italy prestige and helped promote our products. Cinema, a key sector of Made in Italy,” wrote Tajani.

 According to the Italian deputy prime minister, Avati's suggestion will be “analyzed with government allies.”

With over 30 films produced, Pupi Avati is one of the most renowned filmmakers and screenwriters in Italy. Among his best-known works in Brazil are “A Sunday Love”, “Mr. Devil” and “A Heart to Dream”. (HANDLE)
