“My career began in Brazil as a dancer for local bands. 14 years ago, when I came to live in Italy, I decided to sing funk, which has always been my passion, and I ended up creating funk in Italian (Funk in Italy), the name of my first recorded song, which is a mix of our funk culture with a tarantella Italian”, says Luana Belli.
Luana Belli, this is the current stage name of the former Mc Luana, the singer from Minas Gerais who fell in love with Rio funk as a teenager and moved to Rio de Janeiro at the age of 18 to be closer to the music segment.

Ex Mc Luana?
The funk singer, who left her hometown in the interior of Minas Gerais to pursue funk in Rio de Janeiro, reveals that she has shifted to a pop music path and exclusively shares what it's like to make a living from funk in Europe: “I love funk, but now I'm following a more pop path. I'm not abandoning funk because it's truly my passion. I live off music here in Italy.” I'm the only Brazilian singer who sings funk here, there are singers of different rhythms and covers, but within these 11 years, I am the only funk artist and that left me without competition, I did a lot of presentations before the pandemic.”
Luana Belli ends by telling us her next career plans: “I want to conquer Brazil because I love my country, I want to do lots of tours, hits and see everyone dancing with me… My Brazilian inspiration is definitely Anitta. (by Tupi FM)
