Kyra, a dog who provided emotional support to so many children and elderly people in the Italian city of Livorno, on the coast of Tuscany, Italy, has been given a bronze statue in a park.
Much loved by the population, the dog with a docile temperament became a symbol of solidarity and love when she was given the mission of visiting schools and nursing homes for a good part of her life, which came to an end in 2018, when she was 11 years old.
His guardian, Mario Bartoli, decided to dedicate himself to the social project after losing his 17-year-old son Christian to a cerebral hemorrhage in 1998. The statue is located in the Lenci di Antignano park.
