An analysis conducted by the meta-search engine Jetcost indicated that Rome was the most sought-after Italian city by foreign tourists for spending Easter.

The company's survey also showed that the capital of Italy was the most sought-after destination for French, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese people.

Among the preferences of foreign tourists who used the search engine's services, Rome was followed by the cities of Naples, Milan, and Bologna. Compared to the previous year, searches for flights and hotels in Italy increased by 5% and 8%, respectively.

Jetcost also pointed out that the Belpaese was widely chosen by European travelers for its cultural offering, landscapes, traditions and, above all, rich cuisine and hospitality.

Reversing the situation, among Italians wishing to spend their Easter holidays abroad, the most popular destinations were Paris, Barcelona, London, Valencia and Prague. (HANDLE)
