Brazil is now the third largest market in the Americas for Italian food and beverages, behind only the United States and Canada. This information was reinforced during the Apas Show 2025, which took place between May 13th and 16th, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.

Italy's official participation included 17 companies from the agri-food sector, which presented products certified as Made in Italy. The space was organized by the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade (ICE), with support from the Italian Embassy in Brazil.

Olive oils, pastas, vinegars, truffles, panettone, chocolates, preserves and coffees from various Italian regions, such as Piedmont, Veneto, Lazio, Campania and Puglia, were on display. Tastings offered at the stand included freshly made pizzas, frozen desserts and specialty coffees.

According to ICE data, Italian exports to Brazil grew by 6,96% in 2024. Since 2020, growth has remained constant, driven by valorization of Italian cuisine in the Brazilian market and the demand for high quality products.

The Italian presence at Apas Show is part of the international campaign “The Extraordinary Italian Taste”, focused on promoting products that follow strict criteria of origin and tradition.

Apas Show is considered the largest supermarket trade fair in Latin America. The 2025 edition brought together more than 850 exhibitors from different countries and attracted a specialized audience made up of distributors, importers and retail representatives.
